Wintringham tree (original)

I was inspired by a lone tree in a hedgerow in January near Wintringham, a small village on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds. I used to live there and walked along the path through the fields as often as possible.

I made this piece using wet felting with Merino and Shetland wools and bamboo fibre, needle felting with Black Welsh Mountain wool, and embroidery with silk threads.
