Continuing a series journalling some of the places, exhibitions and nature that I came across in March, with lots of Spring bulbs and evening skies.

Beningbrough Hall

I was inspired by a visit to Beningbrough Hall near York, which held a beautiful exhibition ‘The Botanical World of Mary Delaney’. Mary Delaney was an eighteenth-century artist who used paper, paint and scissors to create detailed and beautiful botanical artwork.

I also enjoyed the daffodils and all the other Spring bulbs. The pond in the American Garden was full of frogs (making an amazing amount of noise) and frogspawn, so hopefully there will be lots of tadpoles next time we visit.

Kirkstall Abbey

Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds with a beautiful display of crocuses in the parkland surrounding the Abbey.

Sunsets

Quite a few interesting evening skies through March, with a variety of cloud patterns and colours, as well as a full moon shining through the tree branches.
